The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing mechanical construction projects from planning through closeout. This role requires a detail-oriented and technically proficient leader who can coordinate effectively with site staff, trades, vendors, and stakeholders. They are responsible for overseeing all aspects of a projects lifecycle, ensuring that schedules, labor, quality, and costs are managed effectively. The Project Manager is a hands-on contributor, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any challenges to keep the work on track.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical construction projects from startup through closeout with a focus on safety, quality, schedule, and cost control
• Manage RFIs, site instructions, change orders, and drawing updates with clear communication to site teams
• Support Foremen and field staff through regular site visits, coordination, and responsive problem-solving
• Prepare and review cost estimates, purchase orders, contracts, and project documentation
• Track job costs, allocate to cost codes,
  
  
  
  and provide accurate billing and closeout reporting
• Deliver concise monthly project updates to executive leadership, covering labor, materials, risks, and progress
• Coordinate material, equipment, and prefab deliveries to align with construction schedules
• Lead QA/QC, commissioning, and end of project commissioning, including O&M manuals and LEED documentation where required
• Maintain strong working relationships with developers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
• Champion safety compliance, ensuring documentation, training, and procedures meet all OHS requirements
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes and project execution
• Collaborate with estimating, HR, and operations teams to support bidding, resourcing, and training initiatives

What Sets You Apart

• Minimum 5 years in senior Project Manager Role
• Red Seal Certification in Plumbing is an asset
• PMP designation considered an asset
• Experience managing residential projects, primarily high-rise residential.
• Strong communication skills – clear, concise, and effective, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Committed to collaboration, team success, and high-quality results.
• Integrity-driven, accountable, and consistent in delivering on responsibilities.
• Detail-oriented, technically sound, and proactive in problem-solving
• Formal training in plumbing is considered an asset.
• Ability to travel between the office and job sites.
