Ellos HR Solutions is partnering with a well-established industrial manufacturer in Hamilton to recruit an experienced Controls Engineer or Electrical Technologist with a 442A Industrial Electrician license.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing manufacturing operation where you'll work with modern automation systems, lead technical improvements, and play a key role in maintaining highly automated production equipment.

What We're Looking For
442A Industrial Electrician License (Mandatory)
Electrical Engineering Degree, Electrical Technologist Diploma, or equivalent technical education
Minimum 6 years of experience working with industrial automation and PLC-controlled equipment
Strong experience with Allen-Bradley Logix and Siemens S7 PLC platforms
Experience designing, programming, commissioning, and supporting automated control systems
Solid understanding of industrial instrumentation, motor controls, VFDs, sensors, and electrical distribution systems
Strong troubleshooting skills in high-volume manufacturing environments
Self-motivated qualified who can manage projects independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
What You'll Be Doing
Design, improve, and maintain electrical control systems supporting automated manufacturing operations
Develop and modify PLC, HMI, and drive programs to improve equipment reliability and production performance
Create and update electrical schematics, control documentation, and technical specifications
Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and automation issues to minimize equipment downtime
Support commissioning activities for new equipment, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
Develop preventive maintenance strategies for electrical and control systems
Verify equipment performance while ensuring compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures
Work closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams to implement automation improvements and optimize manufacturing processes
