This position collaborates closely with Indigenous clients, providing advocacy, legal education, and administrative support related to civil and poverty law. Ideal for someone with at least five years of relevant experience, you will address key legal issues affecting Indigenous individuals and foster community connections through workshops and resources.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide legal advice and advocacy for Indigenous clients
• Liaise with community services to support client needs
• Conduct outreach and legal education workshops
• Assist clients in navigating legal proceedings
• Prepare legal documents and client files
Requirements:
• Grade 12 plus post-secondary education in Law or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a legal workplace
• Strong communication skills in English
• Knowledge of civil law affecting low-income clients
• Valid BC driver’s license and ability to travel
