Substitute Educational Assistants work under the supervision of a certified teacher who retains responsibility for the planning, instruction, supervision, and evaluation of students.

As a casual employee, you will assist students in optimizing their learning potential within a variety of educational settings.

This support may include behaviour management, curriculum implementation, social skills development, personal care, and physical assistance.

Hourly Rate: $20.54 per hour plus vacation pay.

When filling temporary contracts within the Division, priority consideration is given to individuals currently working as Substitute Educational Assistants.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent





Educational Assistant Diploma with CPR/First Aid preferredsome experience working with children in an organized setting preferredpreference will be given to those with NVCI trainingexperience working with students who exhibit challenging behaviors is an assetability and willingness to perform required physical tasks, as well as assist with personal care
