Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced School Social Worker – Safeguarding Lead for its client’s independent school based in Surrey. This is a permanent, non-teaching position offering a salary of £45,900 - £54,060 per annum, depending on experience.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced safeguarding professional with a Social Work background and previous experience working within a school or educational setting. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading safeguarding practice, promoting child welfare, and supporting a strong culture of safeguarding across the school community.

Your Key Responsibilities

Lead the day-to-day safeguarding and child protection arrangements across the school.

Manage safeguarding concerns, referrals, and multi-agency involvement to achieve the best outcomes for children.

Provide expert safeguarding advice and support to staff, pupils, and families.

Liaise effectively with Children’s Social Care, police, health professionals, and partner agencies.





Maintain accurate safeguarding records and ensure compliance with statutory guidance and legislation.

Promote a strong safeguarding culture and support the delivery of safeguarding training across the school.

What We’re Looking For

A recognised Social Work qualification.

Current or previous Social Work registration.

Significant experience in safeguarding and child protection work with children and families.

Experience working within a school or educational setting.

Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, statutory processes, thresholds, and multi-agency working.

Excellent communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills.

A child-centred approach and commitment to achieving positive outcomes for young people.
