Position: Senior Analyst - Regulatory Accounting
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
Salary: $50-$60/hour

Our client, a leading organization in the energy sector, is seeking a Senior Analyst - Regulatory Accounting to join their team on a 1-year contract basis. Reporting to the Finance team, this role will support financial reporting, regulatory accounting, IFRS compliance, financial statement disclosures, and internal reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities Prepare and review inputs for consolidated financial statement note disclosures on a quarterly basis
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis on a monthly and quarterly basis
Support regulatory filings, internal management reporting, and financial reporting activities
Monitor and implement IFRS accounting requirements, including IFRS 18 Presentation and Disclosure in Financial Statements
Support accounting standard changes, disclosure updates, and regulatory accounting requirements, including MIFRS




Assist with external audit requirements and internal control activities
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting efficiencies, and automation
Support financial projects, initiatives, and ad hoc analysis as required
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
CPA designation in Canada is required
5+ years of progressive accounting and financial analysis experience
Experience with financial reporting, consolidated financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and disclosures
Solid knowledge of IFRS standards, including IFRS 18 implementation/adoption experience
Regulatory accounting and MIFRS experience is highly preferred
Experience supporting external audits and internal controls
Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting systems
