Engineering Posted date: July 27, 2026 Role The Intermediate Electrical Engineer will be engaged in low / medium voltage design, testing and support efforts within the Electrical Utilities, Energy Services, Energy Storage, Power Generation, and Renewables industries.
This position requires involvement in the delivery of electrical scope associated with related project efforts within our Electrical Engineering Team in order to meet the expectations of the project, schedule and customer.
The Intermediate Electrical Engineer will function both independently, engaging on various project-related design and support efforts, as well as working as part of a comprehensive team working with other technical staff, Project Managers and customers.
Areas of Accountability The Intermediate Electrical Engineer will be responsible to: Under the direction of the Project Manager and Senior Technical Managers, participate in the technical design and implementation for electrical and control system projects Participate in the development of design basis documents, specifications, cost estimates, and scopes of work Complete as required, cable tray designs, voltage drop calculations, conductor sizing, control/marshaling panel designs, I/O schematics, power distribution, field junction boxes, cable schedules, etc.
Prepare electrical construction bid documents In coordination with Corporate Procurement,
select equipment vendors and procure equipment Participate in the installation of electrical and control system equipment Produce detailed design documentation that meets the technical and quality standards of the project requirements Participate in acceptance testing and ensure deficiencies are addressed Qualification Requirements The ideal candidate will have: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering 5 -8 years of experience in electrical engineering project experience P.
Eng. designation from APEGA (Alberta) ** required.
Strong command of the English language (both written and verbal) Ability to develop and maintain solid personal relationships Working knowledge of Energy Services, Energy Storage, Power Generation or Renewables is considered an asset Experience with working on multiple projects simultaneously, along with associated time management and prioritization skills Effective organization skills What Catch Offers Comprehensive benefits package, including Health
