REPORTSTO (Title):
Interim VP, Administrative& Support Services
The Security Supervisor is responsible foroverseeing and coordinating security-related risk management plans. This position is responsible for developing,implementing, and administering the day-to-day delivery of all securityprograms for Riverside Health Care. Theprimary purpose of this role is to provide a safe and secure environment forpatients, residents, clients, staff, and visitors. This individual will advocate and seekcontinuous support for integrating optimal security practices and concepts througheffective administration, operations, business practices, and risk assessments. The Security Supervisor will also providemanagement of security guards at any Riverside Health Care location.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Post-secondaryeducation in the field of criminology, criminal law, and/or Securityadministration preferred.
Currentvalid ministry approved Security Guard license required or commitment tocomplete the licensing program as part of employment.
Minimumtwo to five years of experience in security or related field required.
Highlymotivated team player with the ability to work within a challengingenvironment.
Knowledgeof Security practices and related legislation in Ontario.
Mustbe highly organized, possess solid problem solving, analytical, andcommunications skills.
Excellentorganizational, and interpersonal skills are required.
Strongcomputer skills with database experience, MS, Word, Email, Excel programcompetency required.
Commitmentto excellence required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position provides security services for Riverside Health Care in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures which includes tasks such as:
1. Responsibility for security servicestandards, policies, and procedures.
2. Reviews security reports, correcting notedproblems and matters stated. Ensure allspecial incident reports are dealt with in a timely fashion.
3.



Maintains work relationship with local enforcement, as required.
4. Ensure daily inspection of the site is done, investigating securityconcerns internally and externally on the site.
5. Develop, maintain, and review Securityprotocols on an annual basis.
6. Responsible for developing, planning, and delivering education and training to all security staff.
7. Responsible for the usage and monitoring ofaudio and video surveillance equipment, BMS Door system and card swipe systemfor employee access and identifying and reporting misconduct or non-compliancewith policies and procedures by staff, patients, or visitors.
8. Workin conjunction with management to plan, co-ordinate and provide for specializedsecurity functions.
9. Attend to requests by HumanResources to conduct investigations, compile evidence and provide reportsrespecting staff misconduct or breaches of policies and procedures, conduct orcompile surveillance of staff, and provide staff escorts from property forstaffing issues and concerns.
10. Oversee all security andsurveillance issues.
11. Oversee and maintain theadministration of security programs.
12. Review various detailedreports and investigation information pertaining to staff and other issues andincidents for senior management.
13. Maintain confidentiality ofinvestigations, surveillance and other activities and decision-making by theSecurity Department, HR and management respecting staff or other persons.
14. Work with maintenance toensure all key and lock problems are resolved in a timely manner.
15. Oversee parking surveillanceand monitoring.
16. Responsible for thedepartment budget and monitoring expenditures throughout the year
17. Advise the Senior Team ofcritical situations.
18. Assist in setting facilitystandards and enforcement of these standards.
19. Participates in thedevelopment and evaluation of standards of practice/program services within thedepartment.
20. Other duties or responsibilities may beassigned.

HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time position with a rotating schedule, the incumbent maybe required to work evenings, weekends, and be on call.
