POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Garden Valley School Division invites applications for the full-time (1.0 FTE) term position of High School Social Studies / History / Drama Teacher at Garden Valley Collegiate effective September 8, 2026 – October 16, 2026.
Garden Valley School Division is a agile and thriving educational community located in the heartland of Manitoba's beautiful Pembina Valley Region. With a student population of about 4,300, the division encompasses 14 schools in the communities of Winkler, Plum Coulee, Schanzenfeld, Hochfeld, Blumenfeld, Reinland, and Blumengart.

REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Hold or be eligible to hold a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate
Prior teaching experience and/or coursework in the above subject areas would be an asset.




Applicants with prior theatre teaching experience are strongly encouraged to apply and will be given careful consideration
The ability to work alongside teachers, colleagues and contribute collaboratively as a team member is essential.

Garden Valley Collegiate is a grades 9-12 high school that is located on Main Street in the city of Winkler. We have an estimated student population of 650, a teaching staff of almost 50 and a support staff of 25. GVC is a thriving high school learning community that offers a variety of programs in academics, fine arts, athletics and technology
