Focus Systems is seeking an experienced Network Analyst (1900) to support corporate and SCADA network infrastructure within a natural gas Crown corporation.
If you have strong hands-on network administration and design experience across Cisco, Fortinet, enterprise routing, data-centre networking, hybrid-cloud connectivity, and network security, this is an opportunity to contribute to resilient, high-availability infrastructure supporting business and field operations.
Contract: Preferred start as soon as possible after contract award to March 31, 2027 , with up to four successive one-year renewal options
Industry: Utilities / Natural Gas / Crown Corporation
Work Arrangement: Full-time onsite , Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Travel: Required across Saskatchewan, including occasional overnight stays
On-Call: Rotational support in one-week intervals; occasional agreed overtime may be required
Role Overview
The Network Analyst (1900) will support the operational administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, implementation, and architectural design of corporate and SCADA network infrastructure. The role blends hands-on network operations with strategic planning and architecture responsibilities.
The successful candidate will collaborate with the Enterprise Networks team and multidisciplinary stakeholders to ensure LAN/WAN infrastructure is configured, secured, documented, monitored, and implemented in accordance with current industry and security best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Administer, implement, troubleshoot, and document enterprise network infrastructure to support continuous and efficient operations
Provide expert technical support, administration, and engineering for network devices
Monitor and optimize network performance and resolve issues affecting availability or reliability
Develop strategic plans for network device evolution aligned with business needs and industry standards
Plan, implement, maintain, and test network disaster recovery processes
Implement network equipment updates in accordance with organizational standards and security practices
Maintain system integrity through change control, problem management, documentation, and stakeholder communication
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop scalable and adaptable network solutions
Support corporate and field employees by addressing technology concerns and escalating complex issues when required
Maintain current knowledge of networking technologies, certifications, and industry developments
Follow standard operating procedures and participate actively in team meetings
Support departmental goals and contribute to strategic and operational objectives
Mandatory Qualifications
Minimum five (5) years of recent practical experience in network administration and network design/architecture
Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver's Licence or equivalent
Ability to work full-time onsite in Regina , Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Ability to travel outside Regina , including occasional overnight stays
Ability to participate in rotational on-call support in one-week intervals
Ability to attend an in-person interview
Required Skills & Experience
Strong Cisco switching and routing experience, including IOS, IOS-XE, and NX-OS command-line interfaces
Hands-on experience with routing protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF
Fortinet firewall, switch, and wireless networking experience
Enterprise LAN/WAN troubleshooting, implementation, performance optimization, and documentation experience
Network security, high-availability, disaster recovery, and change-control experience
Solid analytical problem-solving, professional communication, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing skills
