Contract Period: 09/01/2026 to 03/31/2027 with a possibility of 18 months.

3+ years of Experience in Customer Service and/or Retail sales experience.
2+ years of Experience researching existing documentation to determine a resolution.
3+ years of Experience working in a fast-paced role, to problem solve/troubleshoot, while working independently and in a team environments.
3+ years of Hands on experience working in a complex environment requiring prioritization of tasks and deliverables.
3+ years of Experience navigating between multiple operating/computer system, to validate/assess applications eligibility
2+ years of Experience working in a call center environment responding to inquires over the phone or by email and tracking detailed notes on the request in a call tracking system.
3+ years of Experience working in a role that required strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
4+ years of Relevant experience in a role similar to this. Experience must be applicable to this role.
Job Description:
We are seeking detail-oriented, client-focused professionals to join our team as Child Care Assessors/Representative. In this role, you will support Alberta families, childcare providers,
and stakeholders through the delivery of the Child Care Subsidy Program, Child Care Family Portal and Canada-Alberta Canada-wide Early Learning and Child Care initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Review, assess, and process applications, renewals, and amendments in accordance with program policies and guidelines.
Determine client eligibility by reviewing financial and supporting documentation.
Respond to phone, email, and online inquiries from parents, guardians, childcare providers, and stakeholders.
Provide guidance on program requirements and assist clients in navigating online services and processes.
Investigate and resolve application, payment, eligibility, and system-related issues.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with privacy, security, and information management requirements.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to support effective program delivery.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, testing, training, and operational projects.
What You Bring:
Experience in customer service, program administration, benefits administration, case management, or a related field.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies, procedures, and program guidelines.
Experience assessing information and making decisions with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume, quick-paced environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience handling sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Ability to build positive relationships and provide empathetic, client-focused service.

Experience with government programs, eligibility assessment, or social benefits administration.

Additional information to suppliers
Per worker model below this is a hybrid position, with opportunities in Calgary, or Edmonton.
Location Requirement:
The successful candidate must reside within one (1) hour of a designated office location to support operational requirements and potential in-office attendance. As a result, candidates must be located in or near Calgary, or Edmonton.
Days in the office could be a maximum of 5 days a week
Working Hours:
Standard Hours of work are 8:15 to 4:30pm with a 1 hr lunch break Alberta time, Monday through Friday excluding holidays observed by the Province
Standard Hours of work are 08:15 – 16:30 Alberta time, Monday through Friday excluding holidays observed by the Province
Equipment Requirements:
The Province shall provide the resource the use of a Laptop and ensure they have the necessary access and credentials to the Government of Alberta’s system. When the resource is working from the office the province will ensure Office Space, Furniture and Office Supplies.
Working Hours:
Standard Hours of work are 08:15 – 16:30 Alberta time, Monday through Friday excluding holidays observed by the Province

Available to candidates in Calgary or Edmonton
