In partnership with Hays Recruitment, Hemlo Mining is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Technician. This role requires expertise in underground mining, compliance monitoring, and collaboration with engineering teams. Your contributions will significantly impact blasting performance and operational improvements at one of Canada’s leading gold mining operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct QA/QC activities during pre-drilling, drilling, and loading
• Monitor drilling and blasting with real-time feedback
• Analyze fragmentation and improve blasting performance
• Track performance metrics and maintain QA/QC databases
• Conduct underground inspections to support operations
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in Mining Engineering or related field
• Previous underground mining experience
• Experience with blasting activities is an asset
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently underground
