K2 Group is a diversified investment and management company with a growing portfolio of hotels, restaurants, and real estate holdings across Canada and the United States. We're hiring an Accountant to take ownership of full-cycle accounting across our operating entities.

- Compensation: $50,000–$60,000 per year, plus dental, extended health and paid time off.

What you'll do

- Manage full-cycle accounting: journal entries, accruals, GL maintenance, and month-end close
- Maintain accurate records across multiple legal entities in QuickBooks
- Prepare bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations, and resolve reconciling items
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements
- Account for fixed assets, debt, intercompany transactions, and accruals
- Prepare working papers supporting year-end review engagements




- Assist with HST/GST filings and corporate tax support
- Support cash flow reporting and lender reporting requirements
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Identify and resolve accounting issues independently, and improve processes as you go
- Liaise with our external accountants and tax advisors
- Provide guidance to junior accounting staff as needed

What you'll need

- 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
- 3+ years working in QuickBooks Online
- Hands‑on experience with reconciliations and month‑end close
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and the judgment to resolve issues without being walked through them
- Explicit written and verbal communication

Nice to have

- CPA designation, or actively pursuing it
- Post‑secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Experience in hospitality, real estate, or property management
- Multi‑entity accounting exposure
- Familiarity with ADP payroll software
