Part-Time: Approximately 8–12 hours per week (1–2 days/week), with additional hours required periodically during year-end reporting, audits, budgeting, board meetings, and special projects.
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant Manager to provide financial and administrative support for our charitable and non‑profit organizations.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Full‑cycle bookkeeping, accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Bank reconciliations and monthly financial reporting
- Budget preparation and year‑end accounting support
- Prepare and file GST, CRA charity, and other regulatory reports
- Maintain corporate records and ensure compliance with government filing requirements
- Coordinate annual audits and respond to auditor requests
- Support Board of Directors by preparing agendas, attending meetings, recording minutes,
and maintaining governance records
- Manage insurance renewals, banking administration, and signing authorities
- Coordinate property‑related administration, tenant agreements, and stakeholder communications
- Handle general correspondence and administrative support as required
Skills Required:
- Post‑secondary education in a related field
- Experience in an administrative or accounting field
- Robust record‑keeping and documentation skills
- Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
- Proficient in QuickBooks Accounting software
- Experience with database, banking and financial software systems
