Today our uniquely integrated health care organization includes: Lakeland Long Term Care, six Nursing Stations delivering care to rural communities, management of District ambulance services and dispatch, and a full range of in-patient and out-patient programs associated with a 90-bed acute care hospital.

About the Opportunity
We are currently looking for an Admitting/ Communications Clerk , reporting to the Manager of Admitting/Communications. The incumbent performs the duties of an Admitting/Communications Clerk, which includes the utilization of current processes to register all in-patients and specified out-patients, and completion of required documentation.
Hours of work will include all shifts and weekends.
More About You
To qualify for the role, you will must have successfully completed Grade 12 or equivalent. You will also need to have:
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Demonstrated strong knowledge of computer skills, including word processing;
- Working knowledge of medical terminology;
- A demonstrated ability to provide robust attention to detail in her/his work;
- Demonstrated satisfactory attendance levels, work performance, disciplinary history and positive work references;
- Previous experience in patient registration would be an asset;
- Previous switchboard experience in a hospital environment would be an asset.
