- LOCAL HIRING *** This position is reserved for Inuit/JBNQA beneficiary who resides in the community. Translation in Inuktitut will be available shortly
The person works directly with children and their families and may have to intervene in the child's various living environments (home, daycare, school).In a multidisciplinary context, the FEW works closely with the specialists to offer services to children who show signs of developmental delays. As a Family Education Worker, the person will perform psychosocial tasks and develop, organize and lead activities with young families. Under the supervision of the Coordinator based in Kuujjuaq, the person will have to develop collaboration with CLSC and other community partners.

Exigences spécifiques/Specific Requirements
- Must hold a secondary V diploma or equivalent; Ability to speak in Inuktitut and English (spoken and written); Experience with clientele Infant-Youth-Family would be an asset; Experience in organizing activities in the field of health and social services, recreation or community organizations; Knowledge of child development would be an asset; Perceived as a positive role model by the population; Show a positive attitude, a sense of responsibility and organization; Able to work autonomously as well as with others; Knowing the traditions, beliefs and Inuit customs; Able to work with Word software and Outlook Available to travel in the communities of the Ungava coast.
