This essential role supports quality painting processes through cleaning, masking, and precision work. Reporting to the Paint Supervisor, you'll prepare aircraft parts for painting by removing old coatings, applying chemical stripping, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Your attention to detail is paramount in maintaining safety and reliability in aviation. Collaborating with a skilled paint team will enhance your technical knowledge and craftsmanship. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare aircraft components through cleaning and degreasing
- Apply masking in accordance with engineering specifications
- Perform media blasting and chemical stripping
- Inspect parts before and after preparation for quality
- Support paint shop operations with organization and maintenance Requirements:
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent education
- Experience in paint preparation or a related field
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces
