Position Summary
Under the supervision of the team lead, the Aircraft Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and returning to service mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and structural systems of aircraft, in compliance with Transport Canada regulations and client specifications.
Main Duties
- Troubleshoot aircraft structural, mechanical, or hydraulic systems to identify problems and adjust and repair systems according to specifications, technical drawings, manuals and established procedures
- Repair and overhaul aircraft structural, mechanical, or hydraulic systems
- Install or modify aircraft engines and mechanical, hydraulic, flight control, fuel and pneumatic systems
- Dismantle airframes, aircraft engines or other aircraft systems for repair, overhaul and cleaning, and reassemble
- Perform and document routine maintenance
- Order and maintain inventory of parts and supplies.
- Inspect structural and mechanical systems of aircraft and ensure that these systems meet TCCA and company standards of performance and safety
- Inspect work of aircraft mechanics performing maintenance, repair and overhaul, or modification of aircraft and aircraft mechanical systems to ensure adherence to standards and procedures
- Maintains detailed repair, inspection and certification records and reports.
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to speak, read and write the English Language at a B2 level minimum.
- Must be able to work overtime, any shift, and weekends as required.
- Must have requisite basic tools prior to starting to work; tool list will be provided. Tools must be shadowed and engraved.
- Must have a technical college degree in aerospace or equivalent.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an MRO
Working Conditions
- Work performed in hangar and production line environments.
- Mandatory use of personal protective equipment.
- Possible shift work (day, evening, weekend).

Term: Permanent, Full-time
