Here’s a brief overview of the tasks and responsibilities you’ll be able to do:
- Analyze the demands, needs and issues expressed by business sectors and stakeholders in terms of governance, quality and data valorization;
- Synthesize issues, dependencies, risks, and priorities to guide decisions and work to be done;
- Contribute to the definition and structuring of services offered in data governance and valorization;
- Produce governance deliverables, including recommendations, terms of reference, processes, roles and responsibilities, monitoring mechanisms, and summary documents;
- Support the revision and operationalization of the data governance model in line with the data strategy and the data product approach;
- Clarify responsibilities between different business, technology and analytical stakeholders;
- Participate in the evaluation of data quality and the structuring of the management of the issues identified;
- Propose mechanisms for prioritizing, monitoring and managing issues related to data quality;
- Support the implementation of governance practices applicable to data products, including quality, metadata, traceability, accountability and accountability;
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with multidisciplinary stakeholders and different organizational levels;
- Document analyses, decisions, recommendations and product deliverables;
- Promote the consistent application of the organization’s established data governance principles, standards, and practices.
The profile you are looking for is as follows:
- Ten (10) years of relevant experience in data governance, data quality, data strategy, data management, or a related field;
- Have significant experience in reviewing, implementing, or operationalizing data governance models;
- Experience in needs analysis,
synthesizing complex issues and formulating concrete recommendations;
- Master the production of governance deliverables, including recommendations, definitions, terms of reference, processes, roles and responsibilities, business models, action plans, and monitoring mechanisms;
- Be familiar with data quality practices, including evaluating, prioritizing, monitoring and resolving quality issues;
- Understand approaches related to data domains, data products, semantic products, metadata, data lineage, and data accountability;
- Evolve effectively in a complex environment involving business, technology and analytical stakeholders;
- Experience in investing or asset management (an asset);
- Demonstrate the ability to structure and facilitate meetings or workshops with multidisciplinary stakeholders and different organizational levels;
- Demonstrate excellent communication, influence, synthesis and popularization skills;
- Manage multiple folders simultaneously in a context of evolving priorities;
- Demonstrate excellent analytical and synthesis skills;
- Structure ambiguous mandates and propose pragmatic approaches;
- Ensure high rigor in the production of deliverables and documentation of work;
- Demonstrate a high sense of organization and priority management;
- Collaborate effectively with business, technology and analytical stakeholders;
- Adopt a customer-oriented approach and produce concrete and actionable recommendations;
- Perform one’s role with autonomy, judgment and a sense of responsibility;
- Adapt to a changing context and actively contribute to teamwork and qualified relationships;
This position requires fluency in French and English for daily tasks, understanding documentation, and professional communication with customers, suppliers, and colleagues across Canada. French and English language skills are essential, both oral and written.
