We are looking for a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will support the day-to-day accounting operations by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, assisting with reconciliations, and contributing to weekly reporting. Duties
- Manage financial records, maintain organized office filing systems, and ensure all accounting documents are properly recorded, filed, and kept up to date
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, account analyses, and budget-related information.
- Maintain organized accounting documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Previous experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role is an asset.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar ERP systems is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, account reconciliations, and financial record management.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with solid attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
- Salary will be based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and relevant experience.
