Fisherman's Market Gibsons is looking for a dependable, motivated, and customer-focused Assistant Manager to join our growing team.

Whether you already have leadership experience or you're ready to grow into a management role, we'd love to hear from you. We provide hands-on training for the right person who brings a strong work ethic, initiative, and a willingness to learn.

This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll work alongside a small team serving customers, preparing premium seafood, organizing daily operations, and helping lead one of the Sunshine Coast's most respected seafood markets.

What You'll Do

- Deliver outstanding customer service and build relationships with regular customers
- Prepare, package, and merchandise premium seafood
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked seafood showcase
- Receive deliveries and manage inventory
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Support and train team members
- Help organize daily workflow and priorities
- Resolve customer concerns professionally
- Assist with inventory control, ordering, and daily store operations
- Lead the team when the Store Manager is away

Experience in retail, food service, grocery,



seafood, hospitality, or team leadership is an asset—but not required. We are happy to train the right person.

Training Provided

You'll receive hands-on training in:
- Seafood identification and preparation
- Customer service and seafood recommendations
- Food safety and quality control
- Merchandising and product presentation
- Inventory management
- Opening and closing procedures
- Team leadership
- Daily store operations
- Problem solving and decision making

What We Offer
- Full-time (32–40 hours per week)
- $23–$28 per hour based on experience
