Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of full-time Assistant Team Leader onsite at our Convenience Store/Gas Bar in Nipawin, Saskatchewan.
What You Will Do:
- Model and champion Lake Country Co-operatives vision, mission, and safety principles, fostering a strong customer-focused culture.
- Supervise team members to maintain effective operations and high customer service standards.
- Support and guide daily retail operations, including merchandising execution, inventory management, and team coordination.
- Monitor sales, labour costs, and store performance.
- Support hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions when required.
- Administer cash management, deposits, daily reporting, and Point-Of-Sale System operations.
- Implement promotions, upselling strategies, and seasonal product displays to drive revenue.
- Respond to emergencies, staffing shortages, or operational issues as needed.
- Become familiar with and adhere to Lake Country Co-op policies such as selling of age restricted items and all government regulations relating to tobacco, lottery, and fireworks.
- Champion and ensure compliance with all safety, asset protection, and operational policies and procedures.
Who You Are:
- 2 years of Retail Convenience Store management experience including Convenience Store operations, knowledge of pumps, fuel and compliance in a full-service environment.
- Co-operative Retailing System experience and post-secondary education in a business-related field are assets.
