Role Description

The position is based in Toronto, but approximately 80% of the work can be done remotely, with occasional in-person attendance required for client meetings and court hearings.

Responsibilities





- Manage a wide range of civil litigation and family law matters, draft legal documents including pleadings, contracts, affidavits, agreements, and correspondence, and attend examinations, mediations, and court proceedings as needed;
- Providing strategic legal advice and strong representation to clients
- Working both independently and collaboratively within a supportive team environment
- Maintaining organized and timely file management throughout all stages of each matter.

Qualifications

- Is licensed to practise law in Ontario and ingood standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- Has at least 1 year of civil litigation and/orfamily law experience
- Is willing and able to attend court
- Has strong legal drafting, advocacy,communication, and file-management skills
- Chinese(Mandarin/Cantonese) is an asset
