Harris Victoria Dodge is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Journeyman Automotive Technician to take on a key leadership role in our service department.

As our Used Vehicle Inspection Technician, you'll be responsible for inspecting incoming used vehicle inventory, identifying required repairs and maintenance, assigning work to apprentices and junior technicians, ensure quality of the apprentice's work, and approving/signing off on completed repairs before vehicles are offered for sale.

Your primary duties will be inspection used vehicles for our sales department.

This job is mostly inspection combined with light-weight mechanical type work when you run out of inspections.

What You'll Do

- Perform comprehensive used vehicle inspections and evaluations.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns.
- Identify required repairs, maintenance, and safety-related issues.
- Create detailed repair recommendations and work scopes.
- Assign repair work to apprentice and junior technicians.
- Review completed repairs to ensure dealership quality standards are met.
- Sign off on inspection reports and reconditioning work.
- Provide coaching, support, and technical guidance to developing technicians.
- Maintain accurate documentation and inspection records.
- Ensure all work complies with manufacturer and dealership standards.
- Support a culture of quality, efficiency, and accountability.
- Do A 5 Minute Video Inspections Of Your Findings For The Used Car Dept.

What We're Looking For

- Red Seal / Journeyman Automotive Service Technician Certification.
- Strong diagnostic and inspection experience.
- Proven ability to identify required repairs accurately and efficiently.
- Previous mentoring or leadership experience is considered an asset.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently in a rapid-paced dealership environment.
