Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently. Additional skill set of ability to operate heavy equipment - loaders, excavators, etc. is a major asset.

Duties

- Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport freight across designated routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, utilizing forklifts when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Perform minor automotive repairs and maintenance on the truck as needed.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe driving practices.

Qualifications

- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A/Z designation is required.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with heavy equipment operation. With clean CVOR and 5 years experience.




- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and logistics operations.
- Heavy Equipment Experience, loaders & excavators is major asset.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a basic understanding of automotive repair.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A commitment to safety and adherence to all regulatory requirements.
