We are seeking a full-time Banquet Cook to join our Banquet Kitchen Team. As a Banquet Cook, you will work in a fast-paced, quick-service culinary environment for our members, guests and employees, creating exceptional experiences with every dish. You will be an integral part of our kitchen team, responsible for preparing and serving lunch and dinner for upwards of 150 Glencoe employees, daily.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve high-quality staff meals for up to 150 employees daily, including lunch, dinner, an all-day salad bar, and fresh daily soup, following established menus and recipes
- Work closely with the Banquet Sous Chef to plan production, order ingredients, and ensure the timely execution of daily staff meals
- Complete advance food preparation, mise en place, and cooking of proteins, vegetables, soups, sauces, and other menu items to support efficient service
- Set up, stock,
and maintain kitchen stations while ensuring all food is prepared and served to quality, presentation, and timing standards
- Maintain safe food handling, proper storage, sanitation, and cleanliness in accordance with health and food safety regulations
- Assist with banquet, pub, and small catering functions as required, working collaboratively with the broader culinary team
- Maintain a professional, positive attitude while contributing to a safe, organized, and team-oriented kitchen environment
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of culinary experience in banquet, hotel, institutional, or other high-volume food production environments
- Experience with large-scale batch cooking, menu planning and execution, advance food preparation, and preparing soups and stocks
- Journeyman or Red Seal Cook certification (or working toward certification) is considered an asset
- Solid organizational, communication, and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- A positive, professional attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and contribute ideas for continuous improvement
- Must be comfortable standing or walking during the length of shift and be able to repetitively lift supplies weighing up to 50lbs Valid Food Safe Certification (or willingness to obtain) and a robust understanding of food safety and sanitation standards

Additional Details: This is a full-time position that reports to the Banquet Sous Chef. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, weekends, weekdays, evenings and holidays, so a flexible schedule is required.
