Your Role

As a Bartender, you'll be an ambassador of Shay Ristorante, creating memorable guest experiences through exceptional beverages, genuine hospitality, and impeccable attention to detail.

You'll work closely with our dining room and kitchen teams to ensure seamless service while maintaining the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and organization behind the bar. Whether crafting a perfectly balanced Negroni, recommending an Italian amaro, or preparing a flawless espresso martini, every drink should reflect the same care and attention to detail that defines the Shay experience.

We're looking for bartenders who take pride in their craft, remain composed during busy service, and are passionate about creating memorable moments for every guest.

What You'll Do

- Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, espresso beverages, and non-alcoholic drinks with precision, consistency,



and efficiency.
- Deliver warm, professional, and knowledgeable service to guests at the bar and throughout the dining room.
- Develop a thorough understanding of our cocktail program, wine list, spirits, and seasonal offerings.
- Recommend beverages that complement each guest's dining experience.
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards behind the bar.
- Ensure recipes, presentation, and service standards are executed consistently.
- Support servers by preparing beverages efficiently during service.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, inventory organization, stocking, and daily bar preparation.
- Maintain an organized, efficient bar while contributing ideas and feedback to continuously elevate the guest experience.
- Work collaboratively with the entire front-of-house and kitchen team to create seamless guest experiences.

What We're Looking For

- Minimum 2 years of bartending experience in an upscale or fine dining restaurant.
- Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and bar operations.
- Confidence working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional presence with excellent composure under pressure.




- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support all areas of the restaurant.
- Evening, weekend, and holiday availability.
- Valid Ontario Smart Serve Certification.

Assets include:

- Upscale or fine dining experience.
- Italian restaurant experience.
- Knowledge of Italian wines, aperitivi, digestivi, and amari.
- WSET or other beverage certifications.
- Experience using Silverware POS.
- Espresso and specialty coffee experience.
