Independent energy is here. Help us deploy it.
Energy should be free. Free from aging grids, fragile supply chains, and unnecessary extraction.
At Moment
Energy, we’re building a world where clean power is abundant, affordable, and uninterrupted for everyone.
The world doesn’t need another promise about energy; Moment Energy is the pragmatic liberator of power, the only company certified to turn the largest untapped energy supply into independent energy.
While the industry scraps millions of batteries with decades of life left, we put them to work by repurposing large-format batteries into advanced battery energy storage systems that deliver real-world impact.
Today, Moment Energy delivers 5x the energy density and holds the certifications required to deploy energy independence at scale.
Moment Energy is seeking a Battery Assembly Lead Hand to lead the safe assembly, inspection, and testing of our battery energy storage systems.
In this hands-on leadership role, you'll oversee a production team responsible for assembling battery modules, power electronics, and high-voltage components into complete energy storage systems. Working closely with our Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams, you'll help ensure every product meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance while supporting the growth of our manufacturing operations.
3–5 years of experience with high-voltage battery systems (300V–1000V+) or high-power electrical systems in a manufacturing, testing, or industrial environment.
Experience assembling, integrating, inspecting, and testing electrical or battery systems.
Hands-on experience using electrical test equipment such as digital multimeters, insulation resistance testers (Megger/Hi-Pot), battery cyclers, and similar diagnostic equipment.
Strong understanding of high-voltage electrical safety practices and energized work procedures.
Certification or training in CSA Z462 (Workplace Electrical Safety), NFPA 70E, or equivalent electrical safety standards.
Experience working in energized electrical environments while using Category 4 (CAT 4) arc flash PPE.
Experience maintaining accurate production, quality, and traceability documentation.
Proven ability to lead production activities, mentor technicians, and uphold high standards of workmanship and safety.
Robust problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to following structured assembly, testing, and quality procedures.
Canadian Journey-person certification (Industrial Electrician, Electronics Technician, or a related trade).
Experience working with lithium-ion battery systems, battery energy storage systems (BESS), or electric vehicle (EV) battery manufacturing.
Experience in aerospace, marine, renewable energy, or other high-voltage industries.
Familiarity with Battery Management Systems (BMS), CAN bus communication, and battery diagnostic software.
Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing or production environment.
Today, we’re delivering 5x the energy density and have all the certifications needed to ship energy independence to the world.

Safety is our Foundation
We prioritize the safety of our products, customers, employees, and the general public above all else. From the workshop to the field, we maintain the highest standards for our batteries in testing manufacturing and deployment, and daily operations. Safety is not only about procedures—it is about vigilance, responsibility, and speaking up when something does not feel right.
We follow safety protocols, use proper equipment, and continuously improve our systems to prevent risks before they occur. Safety also means protecting our colleagues, customers, and communities by designing reliable products, maintaining safe workspaces, and ensuring our work is done carefully and responsibly.
We’re Building a Greener Future Together:
We place our customers at the core of everything we do, ensuring that every decision considers their needs and aims to provide increased value to them. We provide reliable support for our customers, every step of the way.
We prioritize open and honest communication to foster mutual understanding, strengthen knowledge sharing, and reduce miscommunication within the team. We’re self-starters that proactively embrace new challenges along with personal and collective ownership of responsibilities in the organization.
