- You’ll lead a team of highly technical operators responsible for the systems, automation, and operational infrastructure that power Brex’s Operations organization at scale

- This role sits at the center of some of Brex’s most critical functions — including Risk, Compliance, Payment Operations, Servicing, and Banking Operations — partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Data, Finance, and Operations leaders to solve complex business problems

- This is both a strategic and hands-on leadership role

- You’ll define the long-term vision for how Brex scales operationally while directly driving execution on high-impact systems, workflows, and AI-powered tooling

- Your team will play a central role in transforming traditional operations into AI-native organizations through intelligent automation, agentic workflows, decision infrastructure, and scalable internal platforms

- You’ll help answer foundational questions such as:

- How should operational work be redesigned in an AI-native world?

- How do we increase efficiency and automation while maintaining strong customer experience and risk controls?

- How do we build systems that create leverage across rapidly scaling operational teams?

- Robust understanding of modern operational tooling ecosystems, including platforms such as Salesforce, Retool, workflow automation tools, and data infrastructure

- Technical fluency with systems architecture and automation development, including working knowledge of JavaScript, Python, SQL, APIs, and AI tooling ecosystems

- Proven track record of building and scaling internal systems, workflows, and operational tooling that drive measurable business impact

- 5+ years of experience leading Systems, BizOps, TechOps, Internal Platform, or Operational Excellence teams in high-growth, fast-paced environments

- Strong ownership mentality with a bias toward action and a willingness to operate hands-on when needed
