Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to meet their needs and preferences
- Educate customers on product features, effects, and usage guidelines to support responsible consumption
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately for transactions, cash handling, and receipt issuance
- Upsell products effectively by understanding customer needs and recommending suitable options
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the store environment is clean, inviting, and compliant with regulations
- Manage inventory levels through filing, stock replenishment, and recording product movements using computer skills such as Microsoft Excel
- Handle heavy lifting of product boxes and supplies safely while adhering to safety protocols
- Communicate clearly in English and French (or other multilingual capabilities) to assist diverse customer bases effectively
- Support team leadership by assisting with training new staff and maintaining organizational standards in retail sales and customer service
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or hospitality environments demonstrating strong customer service skills
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, basic math, and computer operation including Microsoft Office applications
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities (English plus French or other languages) are highly desirable to serve a diverse clientele
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods during stock handling or store setup
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to upsell products confidently and build rapport with customers
- Strong organizational skills for managing merchandising displays, inventory records, and filing systems
- Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting
