Responsibilities

- Prepare, bake, and assemble a variety of cakes according to established recipes and customer specifications
- Decorate cakes with intricate designs, frosting, fondant, and other decorative elements to meet aesthetic standards
- Ensure all food handling and safety protocols are strictly followed during preparation and packaging
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and tools used for baking and decorating
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as mixing ingredients, measuring portions, and ensuring consistency in product quality
- Package finished cakes securely for delivery or display while maintaining presentation standards




- Provide excellent customer service by discussing customization options, taking special orders, and addressing customer inquiries professionally

Requirements

- Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or food preparation within a restaurant or bakery setting
- Strong skills in cake decorating techniques including piping, fondant work, and creative design application
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workplace while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, refrigeration units, and decorating tools
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence
- Food industry experience is preferred; prior restaurant experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy ingredients or equipment safely
