We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in tile laying, siding, heavy lifting, carpentry, maintenance, assembly, water damage restoration, plastering, door hanging, and cabinet installation.
The Carpenter will support the lead Construction Supervisor in the execution of daily structural and finish tasks while maintaining a rigorous commitment to site safety and organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret technical drawings, sketches, and building plans to determine dimensions and material needs.
- Use levels, squares, and tapes to ensure structures are perfectly aligned and meet contract standards.
- Operate power tools (miter saws, circular saws, routers) and hand tools to shape materials.
- Framing of buildings, including floor joists, wall studs, and roof rafters.
- Install doors, windows, cabinets, trim, and hardwood flooring with a high level of craftsmanship.
- Repair or replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
- Able to communicate and work effectively with others.
Technical Skills
- Strong grasp of geometry and basic arithmetic for precise measurements and angles.
- Expertise with pneumatic nailers, power saws, drills, and traditional hand tools.
- Understanding the properties of different wood types, composites, and adhesives.
Soft Skills & Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
- Ensuring joints are seamless and surfaces are level.
- Keen attention to detail, clean and organized worksite is a must
