- Ensure the proper setup and execution of indoor and outdoor urn placement ceremonies in the cemeteries;
- Open and close niches, memorial structures, and other installations, both indoors and outdoors;
- Remain attentive and responsive to the needs of families;
- Recite prayers in accordance with the family’s wishes;
- Clean the glass panels and interior of glass-front niches;
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., including one (1) unpaid 30-minute meal break;
- Must be available to work at all three (3) Urgel Bourgie cemeteries, as well as funeral complexes where urn placements are performed;
- Compensation in accordance with the collective agreement: $24.29/hour;
- Overtime paid after 40 hours worked.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma (or equivalent);
- Bilingualism (French and English), spoken and written, is essential;
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence;
- Must have access to a personal vehicle for travel between locations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficiency in a third language will be considered an asset;
- Comfortable working at heights (using a stepladder);
- Resourceful with a strong sense of professionalism and civic responsibility;
- Demonstrates respect toward families, the deceased, and fellow employees;
- Motivated and dependable;
- An impeccable professional appearance is required. Company dress standards must be adhered to at all times;
- Positive attitude with a discreet and qualified demeanor.
