Harbourside Oral and Facial Surgical Centre is a full scope OMFS practice nestled in the beautiful North Vancouver. Our long term and diverse team of professionals is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate patient care and treatment.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our OMFS practice. This position is to start as soon as possible. The ideal candidate must be licensed and in good standing with the BCCOHP. While DAANCE training is considered advantageous, it is not required. However, candidates must be willing to undergo DAANCE training and certification if not already completed.

The position will be available for part time (Weds – Friday). Our ideal candidate will be well-organized, caring to patients and others and a team player.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the OMFS during procedures, including but not limited to extractions, dental implants, bone grafting, pathology and consultations with patients.
- Prepare treatment rooms for surgeries and maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the procedures.
- Take dental x-rays and cbct scans.
- Sterilization of instruments and equipment.
- Provide post-operative instructions and care to patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals.




- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment of various OHCP.

Requirements:

- Certification as a Dental Assistant from an accredited program
- Valid license and good standing with the BCCOHP
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Willingness to undergo DAANCE training if not already completed.
