Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a safe and efficient workflow
- Assist dentists during various procedures including exams, restorations, endodontics, and pediatric treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology for precise diagnostics
- Manage patient records using software such as Akitu (training will be provided) to ensure accurate documentation and scheduling
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term oral health
- Handle administrative tasks like checking in patients, updating medical histories,
and scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Dental Assistant from an accredited program; experience in a clinical setting is preferred
- Proficiency with dental software such as Akitu for managing patient records and appointments
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and pediatric care
- Experience assisting with orthodontic procedures and understanding of CAD technology is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and team members
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in pediatric dentistry is a plus
