At Nord Quantique, we strive to build impactful technology by relentlessly pushing our understanding of quantum science. Our quantum processors are designed to reduce errors in quantum computation to facilitate long-term scaling toward fully‑fledged quantum computers. We are looking for an IT Operations Specialist to own day‑to‑day IT operations and ensure a smooth, reliable, and efficient end‑user experience across the organization.

The successful candidate will lead helpdesk and user support, device and account management, onboarding and offboarding, routine administration, monitoring, and basic system maintenance, while escalating complex, security‑related, or strategic matters to the IT Manager. The IT Operations Specialist will help create structure, improve consistency, and maintain strong operational execution as the company grows, while working closely with the IT Manager to keep ownership clear and support each other during workload peaks or absences. The IT Operations Specialist is responsible for the smooth execution of daily IT operations, with a focus on user support, endpoint management, access administration, routine operational tasks, monitoring, and service reliability.

This role owns the operational side of IT, ensuring that employees receive timely support, that laptops, accounts, and access rights are managed consistently, and that operational processes are documented, repeatable, and scalable. The IT Operations Specialist works in close partnership with the Systems & Security function. Strategic infrastructure decisions, security direction, advanced architecture, and higher‑risk issues remain under the IT Manager’s ownership, while the Technical Support Specialist ensures strong day‑to‑day execution and escalates when needed.

Lead day‑to‑day IT operations and ensure responsive, high‑quality support for end users. Own help desk coordination, ticket follow‑up, and issue prioritization to maintain service quality and user satisfaction. Manage onboarding, offboarding, access provisioning, and role changes in a timely and well‑controlled manner.

Oversee endpoint lifecycle activities, including device preparation, deployment, maintenance, replacement,

and inventory tracking. Administer standard user accounts, permissions, groups, licenses, and access rights across core business platforms. Perform routine administrative tasks across workplace technology and collaboration tools within defined procedures and controls.

Monitor operational service health related to devices, accounts, collaboration tools, and end‑user productivity, and coordinate first‑line resolution. Maintain operational documentation, procedures, checklists, inventories, and knowledge‑sharing practices. Align priorities, share operational visibility, and support execution of broader IT initiatives.

Contribute operational input to process improvements, service standards, and practical implementation planning. Support continuity of service during workload peaks, absences, and changing business demands. We are looking for a candidate with solid experience in IT operations, end‑user support, endpoint administration, and service delivery in a growing and fast‑moving environment.

Experience in IT operations, IT support management, workplace technology, or a similar role. Strong understanding of end‑user support, onboarding and offboarding, access management, and operational service delivery.

Experience managing endpoints, user devices, software deployment, and asset lifecycle processes. Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration for users, groups, licenses, Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, and related workplace services.

Experience with ticketing systems, service management practices, and operational reporting. Comfort working across both technical and non‑technical teams and aligning execution with broader IT priorities. Practical familiarity with identity, access, device compliance, and operational controls within established standards.

Ability to support implementation of infrastructure, security, and service improvements led by the IT Manager. Coordination experience is an asset, especially in fast‑growing environments with evolving processes and priorities. The ideal candidate is a structured, dependable, and service‑oriented IT professional who takes ownership of day‑to‑day operations, collaborates effectively with IT leadership, and shows good judgment about when to elevate.

Strongly organized and able to manage multiple operational priorities effectively. Service‑oriented and committed to delivering a positive end‑user experience. Attentive to detail, documentation quality, and reliable follow‑through.

Able to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical colleagues. Collaborative and able to work closely with other IT functions to ensure aligned execution. Comfortable supporting shared priorities and adapting during workload peaks or changing business needs.

Good judgment about when to escape issues that are complex, higher risk, security‑sensitive, or outside defined operational ownership. Comfortable working in an environment that combines operational support, coordination, and continuous improvement. Nord Quantique is committed to the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion in its training, workplaces, and activities.
