Clinical Placement Coordinator (NACC PSW & ECA Programs)
Location: Scarborough, ON (On-site)

About the Role
JRS College of Business & Healthcare is seeking a highly driven, resourceful, and relationship-focused Clinical Placement Coordinator to lead and expand our clinical placement network for the NACC Personal Support Worker (PSW) and Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) programs.
This role goes beyond placement scheduling. We are looking for someone who can cultivate strong partnerships, identify new placement opportunities, strengthen existing healthcare relationships, and ensure every student receives a high-quality clinical experience while maintaining exceptional service standards for our facility partners.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Long-Term Care Homes, Retirement Homes, Community Care organizations, Childcare Centres, and other healthcare partners.
- Build and expand a sustainable network of placement facilities across Ontario.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Directors of Care (DOCs), Administrators, Executive Directors, Facility Managers, and placement supervisors.
- Identify new partnership opportunities and proactively engage organizations to secure quality student placements.
- Coordinate the complete clinical placement process from planning through successful student completion.
- Match students with appropriate placement opportunities while considering program requirements, location, availability, and facility expectations.
- Maintain regular communication with facility leadership to ensure strong collaboration and long-term partnerships.
- Resolve placement challenges quickly while maintaining a positive experience for both students and partner organizations.
- Monitor placement capacity, forecasting, and future partnership needs.
- Ensure compliance with NACC standards, Ministry requirements, college policies, and facility onboarding requirements.
- Coordinate student documentation, immunizations, police checks, CPR, and other placement prerequisites.
- Collaborate closely with Academic, Compliance, Admissions, Student Success, and Operations teams to ensure smooth placement execution.
- Maintain accurate placement records, reports, and documentation within internal systems.
- Represent the college professionally while strengthening its reputation within the healthcare community.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve placement capacity, operational efficiency, and partner satisfaction.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in clinical placement coordination, healthcare partnerships, workforce development, employer engagement, healthcare recruitment, or a similar stakeholder-facing role.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with healthcare organizations.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Comfortable working with multiple priorities in a fast-paced workplace.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.
- Experience coordinating placements within healthcare or educational institutions is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of NACC PSW, healthcare education, or regulated healthcare environments is considered a strong asset.
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Healthcare Administration, Health Sciences, Business, Education, or a related field.
- Valid Ontario driver's licence and access to a vehicle are considered an asset.
