The Lac La Ronge Indian Band, Executive Office is now accepting applications for the following full time permanent position, based out of Hall Lake, SK.
The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
- Guard the property against fire, suspicious behaviour, theft, vandalism and forced entry;
- Patrol community, buildings, grounds and all community areas by vehicle as specified by employer;
- Regularly check security vehicle and report any maintenance requests to Public Works;
- Observes or examine doors, windows and gates to ensure they are properly secured;
- Watch for and report irregularities to supervisor and other agencies (RCMP or Fire Department);
- Work independently with minimal supervision;
- Provide written and verbal reports with attention to factual details;
- Other duties of a similar nature as may be assigned from time to time.
The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Security Guard training course or related work experience may be considered;
- Grade 12 diploma;
- Previous experience in the security industry will be an asset;
- Ability to deal with the public in a respective, assertive manner;
- Must be able to pass RCMP Security Clearance;
- Have CPR/First Aid/AED certificate or be willing to complete in the first year of employment;
- Must possess a valid Driver's License and be able to provide an acceptable Driver's Abstract;
- Have access to a reliable vehicle is preferred;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential;
- Punctual, honest & reliable.
- Ability to speak Cree is an asset.
