#26-52 – One (1) Full Time ResidentialSupervisor The CochraneTemiskaming Resource Centre (CTRC) is seeking a Residential Supervisor to joinits management team in Timmins.

CTRC is aregional Developmental Services provider offering programs across the Districtsof Temiskaming and Cochrane including coastal communities along James andHudson Bay. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within amulti-disciplinary team planning and coordinating supports to individuals withDevelopmental Disabilities.

The mainresponsibilities of the Residential Supervisor will include managing front linestaff teams, scheduling staff to meet support needs, overseeing and beingaccountable for residential and individual expenses, enforcement of allinternal service & staff policies, ensuring the delivery of services inaccordance with Quality Assurance Regulations and ensuring all staff work inaccordance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and Health andSafety agency policies.

The Residential

Supervisor will also workconsultatively and collaboratively with other service agencies and providers,including Community Living Associations, Hospitals, and any other community-basedservices part of support network for the individual receiving services fromCTRC.

Residential

Supervisors are also required to manage within the provisionsof the Collective Agreement in place with OPSEU Local 664.

Wages: $38.25to $41.60 /hour 75 hours every 2weeks The successful candidatewill possess a Developmental Services Worker Diploma or an acceptablecombination of education (or other Human Services Diploma or/ Degree) andtraining in the Developmental Services field. A minimum of 5 years currentexperience in a developmental services residential/group home setting. 3 years’experience in a supervisory position or supplementary college level courses insupervision or managerial skill development is required. Ability to understand and follow theprinciples of non-violent crisis intervention; demonstrated ability to promoteand maintain harmonious relationships with clients, staff, families and thecommunity at large; financial and management ability; good communication,documentation and organizational ability; ability to maintain good publicrelations. A valid G drivers’ licenseand the use of a vehicle is essential.Ability to operate a computer and various software programs. Possession of an updated First Aid/CPR HeartSaver certificate and CPI certificate or willingness to obtain such isnecessary.
