The ideal candidate will have previous experience in concrete finishing, poses strong communication skills, a high level of enthusiasm, enjoy working in a team environment and have the ability to learn quickly.
Responsibilities As a Concrete Finisher,
you will play a critical role in supporting and assisting the construction team with achieving their business objectives with the following responsibilities:
- Leveling the top surface of freshly poured concrete on floors and sidewalks
- Operating a power vibrator to compress concrete
- Applying hardening and sealing compounds to cure the surface of concrete
- Waterproofing, damp-proofing and restoring concrete surfaces
- Installing anchor bolts, steel plates and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete
- Assist Foreman whenever needed
- Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards
- Load or unload construction materials
- Operate and care for construction equipment
- Perform site clean-up
- Follow all company health and safety requirements
- Work as a team member and communicate respectfully with coworkers
