Job Role : SAP Business Systems Analyst (US Payroll)

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 4 Days Onsite)

Duration: 6–12 Months Contract [Possible extension]

Pay Rate: $/hr INC

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support Project McIntosh , a regulatory initiative focused on automating New York State (NYS) employment tax compliance processes. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP US Payroll , payroll tax compliance, business analysis, and enterprise system integrations.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements through stakeholder workshops and interviews.
- Create current-state/future-state process documentation and functional specifications.
- Analyze SAP US Payroll (BSI Tax Factory) configurations and recommend enhancements for automated tax withholding.
- Define business and integration requirements across SAP, Concur, EY Mobility Platform, Payroll, Finance, and Global Mobility systems.
- Document data flows, mapping, validation, reconciliation, SLAs, and SFTP integration requirements.
- Translate NYS employment tax regulations into technical and business requirements.
- Support solutions for:
- NYS tax withholding for business travelers and non-residents
- Trailing compensation and vesting taxation
- Remote work location tracking
- Relocation management
- Badge swipe/location data integration
- Facilitate requirement validation sessions and coordinate with business, IT, Solution Architects, and Project Managers.




- Ensure all documentation is audit-ready and supports regulatory compliance.

Required Skills

- 5+ years of Business Systems Analysis experience in Financial Services or another regulated industry.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP US Payroll (BSI Tax Factory) .
- Knowledge of payroll tax withholding, multi-state tax compliance, wage allocation, and tax sourcing.
- Experience documenting functional, technical, and integration requirements.
- Strong understanding of system integrations, data mapping, validation, and reconciliation.
- Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
- Ability to translate regulatory and compliance requirements into technical solutions.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Recent York State employment tax compliance .
- Experience with Concur Travel & Expense .
- Familiarity with EY Mobility/Tax platforms .
- Experience with badge/location tracking systems.
- Knowledge of deferred/trailing compensation processes.
- Experience supporting regulatory compliance or audit remediation initiatives.
