Positrace is an international GPS Tracking and Fleet Management SaaS provider looking for a hands-on Controller who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth technology environment where priorities evolve, processes are continuously improved. The incumbent should have a qualified CPA designation and will work closely with the CFO.

This isn't a role for someone who simply maintains the status quo. We're looking for a finance leader who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, building scalable processes, improving controls, leveraging automation, and partnering with the business to support growth. You'll have ownership over the day-to-day accounting operations while helping shape the future of our Finance function.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, including consolidated financial statements for Canadian and Mexican operations.
- Oversee the full accounting cycle, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash management, and working capital.
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve internal controls, ensuring compliance with Canadian accounting standards, tax regulations, statutory reporting requirements, and supporting knowledge of US GAAP.
- Manage cash flow, perform variance analysis against budgets and operating plans, and provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and the development of financial dashboards, KPIs, and operational reporting.
- Coordinate external audits, corporate tax filings, sales tax remittances, transfer pricing, and intercompany accounting activities across multiple entities.




- Drive automation and continuous process improvements by leveraging technology to enhance efficiency, reporting accuracy, and scalability across the Finance function.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize financial processes and system integrations that support business growth.
- Prepare and oversee sales commission calculations and other recurring financial analyses.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while fostering a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Support strategic initiatives, system implementations, and other finance and operations projects as the company continues to scale.

What We're Looking For

- CPA designation (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities
- Experience in a SaaS, technology, or high-growth company strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of Canadian GAAP and financial reporting
- Familiarity with multi-entity or cross-border accounting (Canada, US, or Mexico
- Experience managing audits and regulatory compliance
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with modern ERP/accounting system
- Comfortable working with evolving processes and shifting priorities
- Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on executive




- Strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively across departments

Nice To Have

- Experience implementing financial systems or automation tools
- Exposure to AI-powered accounting or workflow automation

Compensation & Beenfits

- Salary: $95,000–$130,000 CAD, based on experience
