We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and customer-focused Cook to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing pizzas and other menu items, providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare pizzas and other menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Stretch dough, add toppings, bake, and finish orders accurately.
- Prepare ingredients, including cutting vegetables, portioning meats, making sauces, and restocking supplies.
- Take customer orders in person and over the phone.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and process payments.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service.
- Package takeout and delivery orders accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dining area, and washroom.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Monitor inventory and notify management when supplies are running low.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Work efficiently as part of a team during busy periods.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or pizza shop experience is an asset but not required.
- Ability to work in a quick-paced environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
