Responsibilities

- Prospect, qualify, solicit, develop and negotiate new bookings through proactive sales activities including sales calls, email solicitation, entertainment and hotel site inspections.
- Grow market share within assigned market segments
- Solicit entertainment business from: film & television productions, concert tours, production crews, talent agencies, the music industry, touring productions, long-term crew stays and production blocks
- Solicit corporate market business from: local, national and international corporate accounts of 100 rooms or more per night
- Develop and manage relationships with top-producing corporate accounts, entertainment industry clients and key referral sources.
- Actively pursue new corporate business opportunities, entertainment bookings, production-related stays and group room blocks.
- Collaborate with Front Office, Revenue Management and Operations to ensure account satisfaction and repeat business.
- Attend trade shows, client events and sales trips as required.
- Prepare customized client proposals.
- Participate in industry associations or committees.
- Prepare activity reports and sales action plans.
- Contribute ideas to Sales & Marketing strategies.
- Prepare weekly, monthly,



quarterly and annual reports.
- Conduct site inspections and respond to guest concerns.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales and revenue targets.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years of sales experience focused on corporate sales and/or entertainment sales
- Hospitality degree or diploma preferred.
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, verbal and written communication skills.
- Bonus: Experience with Marriott systems (CI/TY, One Yield, etc.) and strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Downtown Toronto hotel experience is an asset.
- Exceptional relationship and communication skills
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Demonstrates professionalism and a solid sense of urgency

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
