Location: Montreal, QC
Work Arrangement: 5 days onsite (initial 3 months), 3 days onsite, 2 days remote(After 3 months)

Our client, a leading global financial institution, is seeking a Credit Analyst to join its Diversified Corporate Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional with experience in corporate credit analysis and risk assessment to work on complex lending transactions and support key credit decisions.
As a Credit Analyst, you will collaborate with business partners to evaluate corporate credit requests, perform in-depth financial analysis, assess transaction risks, and prepare credit recommendations for senior management and credit committees.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze corporate credit applications and assess borrower creditworthiness.
- Review financial statements, cash flow, and financial projections.
- Evaluate transaction structures, key risks, and mitigating factors.
- Prepare detailed credit memoranda with well-supported recommendations.
- Recommend internal credit ratings using established credit risk methodologies.
- Partner with Front Office teams to gather information and ensure complete credit files.
- Verify credit-related data and maintain accuracy within internal systems.
- Support portfolio reviews, counterparty research, and other credit risk initiatives.
- Manage multiple priorities while meeting established turnaround times .
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in corporate or commercial credit analysis within a banking or financial services environment.
- Solid knowledge of financial statement analysis and cash flow analysis.
- Experience preparing credit memoranda and making credit recommendations.
- Understanding of corporate lending, credit underwriting, and risk assessment.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, CFA, or progress toward a professional designation.
- Formal bank credit training.
- Experience with internal credit rating models and corporate banking products .
