Our client, a leading organization in the technology sector, is seeking a Data Center Support Technician to join their team. As a Data Center Support Technician, you will be part of the Data Center Operations supporting the technical infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Data Center Support Technician

Location: Toronto, ON

Duration: 3 months, with the possibility of extension or transition to permanent employment

Schedule: Monday to Friday, core business hours between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM

Compensation: $30 per hour + Extended benefits, 15 days PTO.

Please note that this position requires the successful completion of a Federal Government Reliability Security Clearance . Eligibility for this clearance requires candidates to be Canadian citizens or permanent residents .

What's the Job?

- Assist with data center decommissioning activities by removing network cables and staging power and networking cables.
- Follow established procedures to prepare, install, diagnose, troubleshoot, replace, and decommission equipment under guidance from senior technicians.
- Conduct physical audits of data center assets to ensure accuracy and accountability.
- Perform basic hardware startups and shutdowns following detailed instructions and checklists.
- Support the team in maintaining a clean and organized data center setting.

What's Needed?

- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and related components.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Flexibility to work non-standard business hours,



including weekends and holidays if required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
