Overview

We are seeking a reliable Kitchen Helper to support daily kitchen operations in a busy hospitality environment in Iqaluit. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, organized kitchen and assisting the culinary team with food preparation and service. The ideal candidate is hardworking, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced team setting.

Key Duties

- Assist cooks and chefs with basic food preparation tasks
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Support proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Assist with dishwashing and waste disposal
- Help restock kitchen supplies and ingredients as needed
- Provide support to kitchen and service staff during busy meal periods
- Follow all Nunavut health, safety, and food handling regulations

Skills & Qualifications

- Experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality kitchen is an asset




- Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Additional Information Flights to and from Iqaluit, accommodation, and all meals are provided for the duration of the contract. This position offers an opportunity to gain experience working in a professional kitchen in Nunavut while being part of a supportive team setting.
