Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced Kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary staff and providing excellent service to our guests.
This will be a seasonal role for the next 3 months, will be paid as a contract role.
Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping and mopping floors regularly.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including chopping vegetables and assembling ingredients.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
- Dispose of trash and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Support the kitchen staff by providing clean dishes promptly during busy service periods.
- Follow food safety guidelines and maintain proper hygiene standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards serving others in a hospitality setting.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items (up to 50 pounds).
