Raj Auto Driving School is a locally trusted driving school in Fort McMurray, AB, dedicated to helping new drivers build safe, confident skills behind the wheel. As demand grows, we're looking to add an experienced driving instructor to our team.
Role Overview
We're hiring a certified driving instructor to provide in-car lessons and support classroom/theory instruction as needed. You'll work directly with students of varying skill levels, helping them prepare for their road tests and become safe, responsible drivers.
Responsibilities
- Deliver one-on-one, in-vehicle driving lessons to students of all experience levels
- Teach fundamentals: vehicle control, parking, highway driving, defensive driving, and road test preparation
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain accurate lesson and attendance records
- Ensure the training vehicle is clean, safe, and well-maintained
- Enforce safety protocols at all times
- Communicate professionally with students and parents/guardians
- Assist with scheduling lessons around student availability
Qualifications
- Valid Alberta driving instructor certification (or willingness to obtain one)
- Class 5 (or higher) Alberta driver's license with a clean driving record
- Minimum 5 years of driving experience
- Strong communication and patience, especially with nervous or first-time drivers
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
- Clean criminal record check (vulnerable sector check may be required)
- Prior instructing experience an asset but not required
