We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves operating heavy-duty dump trucks to transport materials efficiently and safely across various job sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent driving skills, and familiarity with heavy equipment operation.
Prior experience with equipment, backhoe, paver etc. operation, and automotive repair is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety and professionalism. Must have AZ lic.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, or debris to designated locations.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle before and after shifts to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment, including backhoe, asphalt paver if necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations during transportation activities.
- Perform basic maintenance or troubleshooting on trucks and heavy equipment as needed.
- Assist with other related tasks such as automotive repairs or operating additional heavy machinery when required.
Skills
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving, especially with dump trucks or similar heavy vehicles.
- Familiarity with forklift operation and freight handling procedures is advantageous.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and basic automotive repair skills.
- Solid understanding of safety protocols related to heavy vehicle operation and material transportation.
- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and minor repairs.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow directions accurately. This position requires a dedicated professional committed to safety, efficiency, and quality work performance.
